High Alpine Zone
Soraypampa camp to Salkantay Pass (4,638 m). Coldest section — full winter gear essential. Glacier views are breathtaking.
Days 3–4
Cloud Forest & Jungle
Dramatic descent into subtropical jungle. Temperature rises 20°C+. Orchids, waterfalls, and hot springs at Cocalmayo.
Day 5
Aguas Calientes → Machu Picchu
Early morning train or bus to Aguas Calientes. Bus up to Machu Picchu. Guided tour of the citadel — the ultimate reward.
