Sacred Valley of the Incas

Overview

We'll begin your journey to adventure with pickup from your hotel between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., heading to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be Pisac, an important archaeological complex located atop a steep hill, with enormous terraces and solidly constructed Inca temples. We'll then visit the Pisac artisan market, one of the most popular in Peru.

We'll continue our journey and, at noon, have a buffet-style lunch at an excellent tourist restaurant in the town of Urubamba. After recharging our batteries, we'll continue our journey to Ollantaytambo, with its great walls and ancient canals, considered one of the few towns that have been continuously inhabited since the time of the Incas.

There you'll explore the enormous fortress, once the site of legendary battles and ancient religious ceremonies. Finally, we'll board our tour bus for the return trip to Cusco, making a final stop in the town of Chinchero, with its attractive plaza, ancient Inca walls, and a beautiful landscape of agricultural fields, peaks, and snow-capped mountains of the Andes. We'll return to your hotel in Cusco around 7:00 PM .
